The large majority of the current production logos I’ve looked into have their company name as the key focal point. The fonts are bold, simple and easy to read which makes it easy for the audience to identify the company and look further into their other productions etc. To my surprise the majority also use quite bright, vibrant colours; which I thought might be seen as amateur. However, instead of amateur it gives the logos life and makes them eye catching. I also noticed that numerous logos feature clouds. Although I will probably not be using clouds in my logo, it does give me an idea of what is effective with a wide audience. Most logos use soft images such as clouds, and a Pegasus, a moon, softened colours and shapes. Due to the popularity with a soft logo I will be looking into what similar imagery I can incorporate into my logo.
